Processing of personal data
On May 25, 2018, the new Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) began to apply. Here’s information about how we treat your personal information as a customer with us and why.
Who is personally responsible?
Granqvist Sportartiklar AB (GSAB) is the personally responsible for all your personal data processed within our company. Contact information at Granqvist Sportartiklar AB can be found at the bottom of these terms.
What data do we collect and process?
We process the personal information that you must provide to us as a contact person in order to handle your company / employer’s purchases, deliveries, and other requests. This can for example be the name, e-mail address, address, mobile number and how you wish to be contacted.
We also process the personal information you provide to us when you contact us by phone, email, web or via another contact channel such as ex. various events and fairs.
What are the purposes of personal data processing?
We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- To post you as a contact person for your company / employer in our systems
- To update your contact information
- To facilitate our business contact
- To facilitate any complaints
What is the legal basis for the treatment?
As for the purposes of the personal data processing above, the legal basis for processing your personal data is that we can fulfill and administer our agreement with your company / employer and / or its contractor. But also, that treatment is necessary for purposes of our legitimate interests. This means that we believe that our interests in processing your personal data for these purposes contemplate the privacy violation that you are exposed to as a result of the processing. This assessment has been made especially considering that we consider the treatment to be beneficial to you in your professional role.
How long are your personal data saved?
We save your personal information as long as they are needed to fulfill the purpose of the treatment or to fulfill our legal obligations.
Do we share your personal information with other parties?
GSAB may hire external partners and suppliers to perform tasks on behalf of GSAB, for example. in connection with transportation, to provide analyzes or statistics or to -after your approval- create new business contacts. The execution may mean that GSAB’s partners, both within the EU / EEA and outside the EU / EEA, have access to your personal data.
Companies that handle personal data on behalf of GSAB shall sign a grant agreement with GSAB to ensure a high level of protection of your personal data. In relation to companies outside the EU / EEA, special safeguards are taken.
GSAB may disclose personal information to third parties, such as the police or other authority, in the case of criminal investigations or if we are otherwise required to provide such information on the basis of law or authority decision.
What are your rights?
You are entitled to request a copy of all personal data that we process about you as well as the right to extract your personal data in a structured, widely used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to request correction or deletion of personal data and request limitation of the personal data processing that concerns you. However, if the processing of your personal information that you wish to restrict or delete is necessary for us to fulfill and administer to your company / employer, we cannot complete our mission.
If you find that we have processed your personal information incorrectly, you are entitled to file a complaint with the Data Inspectorate.
